HGV / PSV operator's licence
Newspaper advert generator
Every operator's licence application must be advertised in a local newspaper, in exact statutory wording. Fill in the boxes and we produce the wording for you, word for word.
Why this matters: paraphrasing or shortening the official wording is the single most common reason an advert (and the application with it) gets rejected, costing roughly £500 to re-advertise and weeks of delay. This keeps the wording exact.

Your advert - copy this exactly
Before you place it
Timing: it must appear in the paper within the window from 21 days before to 21 days after you submit your application to DVSA.
Which paper: a local newspaper covering the area of each operating centre. If your centres are in different areas, you may need an advert in a paper for each area.
Keep the proof: save a clear photo or scan of the printed page showing the newspaper's name and the publication date - you upload this with your application.
Do not change the wording: only the details in the boxes change. Altering the statutory text is the most common cause of rejection, which is exactly what this tool prevents.
